Overview

This 40 hour project involved us working with the CEO of Prisere LLC, Donna Childs, on the execution of an application for the business. Childs provided the work of past Springboard UX designers and it was our job to continue the work. Everything that was delivered by us is listed below as well as the breakdown of the hours.

Problem Statement

Prisere is seeking to build out a volunteer credit bank where small businesses can exchange services to support one another especially in times of disaster relief efforts. Businesses and individuals will exchange time as a currency as a collaborative effort to sustain and rebuild communities.

Primary Research (provided by Prisere LLC)

The Primary Research provided extended from the affinity map, user interviews, HMW questions and so much more. Everything is pictured below.

Secondary Research (provided by Prisere LLC)

Research was provided by Prisere on the competition that the application would have. There were a handful of companies and they are shown below.

Usability Testing on Provided Wireframes (done by me)

Moderated testing was completed on five users with a test script consisting of a couple of scenarios for the users to go through. This was to get any kinks out of the application so that we can continue to create the high fidelity mockups. Luckily, the users did not find anything wrong with the wireframes provided and they found the app easy to maneuver through. The script we used is shown below.

Brand Guidelines (provided by Prisere LLC)

The mockups were created based off of the brand guidelines that Donna Childs provided. The logo, color palette and fonts are listed below. We used the wireframes as the main base of the mockups and made tweaks wherever we felt were necessary. Our main goal was to keep the essence of Prisere’s guidelines, incorporate our twist and create a great product that will allow the company to have something incredibly user friendly for their clients.

Takeaways

Prisere is seeking to build out a volunteer credit bank where small businesses can exchange services to support one another especially in times of disaster relief efforts. Given the current global pandemic and the millions of small businesses suffering, I was more than happy to assist with the creation of this product.

On top of being apart of solution that will help many entrepreneurs this was also my first time doing UX/UI work for a company. I learned how to create professional presentation for a client and how to give proper updates and cater to a clients overall needs. I had to follow brand guidelines while still utilizing my own creativity to create an overall solid product.
